Designed to provide hands-on experience, the fellowship offers a unique opportunity to explore key editorial areas within the Apple News app. From breaking news to audio and newsletters, fellows will rotate through each editorial team for an initial three-month period. Following this, they will collaborate with Apple News leadership to select a focus area for the remainder of the fellowship.

As a fellow, you’ll curate content with a focus on quality, accuracy, and context. Crafting compelling display copy to drive engagement, planning coverage for major news events, and communicating directly with editors from News’s publishing partners are just a few of the exciting responsibilities awaiting you.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NABJ-Apple News Fellowship, applicants must be current NABJ members in good standing. Strong editing and curation skills, keen news judgment, and a passion for digital journalism are essential. Applicants must be recent graduates or have fewer than three years of experience in journalism, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or previous experience at a digital or print publication, is required.
