About AfDB

Internship Program Overview
The AfDB Internship Program is an integral part of our Talent Management Framework, designed to nurture young talent and equip them with the skills and experience necessary to contribute to our strategic objectives. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals on projects aligned with the Bank’s Ten-Year Strategy and the gender strategy.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the AfDB Internship Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Must be not more than Thirty (30) years old at the time of commencement of the internship program.
- Education: Currently enrolled in a master’s level degree program in a recognized public or private educational institution of higher learning.
- Nationality: Nationals of the Member Countries of the African Development Bank.
- Language: Fluent in at least one of the Banks’s two working languages (English or French).
- Skills: Proficient in standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); knowledge of SAP is desirable.
Terms and Conditions:
- Duration: Internships last for a period not less than three (3) months and not more than six (6) months.
- Location: Interns may work remotely or on-site, depending on the needs of their respective hiring units.
- Support: Eligible interns will receive medical insurance coverage and a monthly stipend.
